Watercolor Wednesdays will begin August 19th!

The studio will be open for watercolor painting--all levels--from 5-10 p.m. beginning August 19th.
We will determine how frequently we will meet that evening.
Bring something new to begin or a work in progress and be inspired and/or request critique.
So far, painters of all levels and various styles have expressed interest.
You must provide your own materials and if you would like suggestions for that, well, that's what we are here for.
Call to reserve your space 630-208-6810!

Belmonte's and Connolly's Friendship platter!

First tiles are coming out!

These tiles demonstrate how we have been experimenting with wax resist and becoming acquainted with various glazes at a low-fire cone 06. Now, it is time to turn up the kiln to create high-fire results.

We are open to suggestions, hints and personal experiences...

Reinventing Terra Cottage!!!!

Terra Cotta Relief Work--our first experiments...
Hand painted Majolica, and resist works to follow...

Please watch and share in our new endeavor!

We are rolling out slabs of Terra Cotta clay for hand painting with a wide variety of techniques and we will be creating relief tiles as well. Much of what we produce will be inspired works from the Arts and Crafts Movement and the Renaissance. In order to cover many interests our initial outcomes will be somewhat eclectic, but hopefully will include something for everyone.
We will offer private classes and studio time for anyone interested and all ages. All of our work will be for sale and we will have a new store front! We will also create custom tiles for functional and decorative use/display in your home.

New BooK Club News!

Angels and Demons proved to be a great pre-movie read, those that didn't get a chance to finish missed out. However, it ought to be an interesting movie--how much they were able to film in the Vatican City, etc.

FOR NEXT MONTH read:

Nudge: Improving Decisions on Health, Wealth and Happiness.

We will head over to Townhouse that evening (briefly) for their free 'Book Club' Fest and then settle down for our own heated  debate over what may or may not be a controversial title amongst our diverse selves.
For questions call 630-208-6810

This ought to be our most intriguing discussion yet...

Golden Anniversary!

Congratulations Roger and Judy on 50 years!
Your family loves you and worked hard to put this together!

Elizabeth is painting again!

It does a Mother's heart good to finally, after all these years,  see her daughter begin to use her talents... please watch for more as this is just a whimsical dabble in order to create a series to compliment Anthony's new couch...
